Volunteers of all ages are working together to cultivate vegetables, herbs, and flowers. The project has been hailed as a shining example of community spirit and sustainability. The following is an email from a student to their teacher, expressing their views on the use of technology in education. Email Extract:

  Subject: Technology in the Classroom

  Dear Mr. Smith,

I'm writing to share my thoughts on the increasing use of technology in our classes. While I appreciate the opportunities it provides, I'm concerned that it's sometimes used excessively and can be a distraction. I think that while interactive whiteboards and online resources can be helpful, they shouldn't replace traditional teaching methods entirely. For example, I find that taking notes by hand helps me to process information more effectively than typing on a laptop. Also, I've noticed that some students are more focused on using their devices than on actually listening to the lesson. I believe a balanced approach is key – using technology strategically to enhance learning, rather than simply using it for the sake of it. Perhaps more time could be spent on activities that encourage critical thinking and discussion, rather than relying solely on digital tools.

  Sincerely,

  Sarah Jones
