Rotating Images

Objective

Several methods can be used to rotate images, including:

  • Using image editing software (e.g., GIMP, Photoshop, Paint.NET).
  • Using online image editing tools.
  • Using built-in operating system features.

Using Image Editing Software (Example: GIMP)

GIMP is a free and open-source image editor. Here's how to rotate an image in GIMP:

  1. Open the image in GIMP.
  2. Go to Image > Transform > Rotate.
  3. Choose the desired rotation angle (e.g., 90 degrees, 180 degrees, -90 degrees).
  4. Click OK.
  5. You can also use the Rotate Tool (looks like a rotating arrow) to manually rotate the image by dragging.
